Gaia Visions is based in a beautiful stone maisonette found within the boundaries of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, just above Plaka beach at St Nicholas on the Vassilikos peninsula. It is set in a peaceful area, 5 minutes from the sea with sea views.
There are 2 large bedrooms each with it's own private balcony, 2 bathrooms and a large kitchen living area. The buildings are designed in the traditional Zakynthian country style.
There are 6 maisonettes in total, guests are housed in these when the main maisonette is full.
Meals
Two evening meals and breakfast are included in
the Gaia Programme. All food is vegetarian,
based on simple Greek cuisine. We use organic
and local produce as much as possible. Vegans
and special diets are welcome. Please do let us
know when you fill in your booking form.
Breakfast is a buffet including fruit, honey,
yoghurt, bread, museli and some Greek
specialities served with a selection of teas or
coffee.
We offer an optional cooking lesson and invite you to share the traditional home cooked food in the evening. We also take you to a traditional tavern with live music during high season.
There are plenty of nearby taverns to eat out and fully equipped kitchen facilities for those wanting to self cater. Meal prices out range from around £3 for a basic salad & up. Most of my guests eat out in the evening and go out as a group. Some groups like to stay in and cook together. Sometimes guests like to be detox during the week and come prepared to do that. Sometimes guests like to be quiet and choose to have some me time at the house in the evenings.
Community
We share communal areas with one another and we
ask that out of respect for one another these
areas are kept clean by guests after use. We
have cleaners daily and beds are changed once a
week and can be changed more often on request.
We operate a no smoking policy at Gaia Visions.
Transport
Public transport is limited although taxis are easily available. We
suggest car hire for guests with restricted
mobility or who would enjoy the
freedom of their own transport. We can help
guests with car hire if requested.

Living the Zakynthian way
At certain times of the year there are traditional festivals and celebrations, which take place on the island. On these occasions we do not run our normal programme, but offer instead the experience of participating with the local culture and tradition.
These include: 24th August - St. Dennis day and 15th August - Mary's day
We also offer our guests the opportunity to participate in some seasonal activities, including wild herb collecting in April, May 1st celebrations and olive and grape picking, starting in September/October.
